What started out as a simple question on the Graphic Facilitation Facebook Group turned out to be a fun hour of sharing via adobe connect today. We had people from South Africa, Germany, US, and France. We took turns sharing a drawing screen and demonstrated our favorite facilitating software. I learned more from this hour than I could have on my own in years. As they say, everyone knows more than anyone.
We experienced ArtRage from what I would consider an expert! It was fun to hear how each person uses their skills. Some graphic facilitate only, and some lead the group as a facilitator and record graphically. We also compared technology and techniques. There are many differences and similarities to graphically recording electronically and on paper. It would seem today, that electronic is a cool way to go. Especially with ArtRage Software and its layers compatibility. It was fun to hear how each got started in graphically facilitating. Some got started as “doodlers”.
The session was also a learning experience in using Adobe Connect and transferring between presenters who then have to share an application on their screen. Despite some audio challenges, I would say we all learned something and had a few laughs along the way. Meeting people from all over the world is one of the things I like most about facilitation and the networks. They are all willing to share ideas and techniques.
If you want to be a part of our next online sharing, simply complete this survey monkey link as to your availability. Of course no one is charging or receiving compensation for this sharing event. It is simply for fun and experimenting with whatever new tool, software or technology that you would like to share with other like-minded folks.
Here is the link to the survey monkey to RSVP your interest in attending.
I have to go now and play with my HP Convertible tablet and download the ArtRage software. 🙂
